The DS-Diva has been designed specially for fast DS. Patrick Häusler did the calculations, Hannes Niethammer created the CAD drawings and finished the positive molds for the plane. The negative molds were made from carbon fiber.

The DS-Diva project was completed completely from scratch design to the maiden flight in only nine months. The setup was very close and only the center of gravity, (c.g.) was changed slightly less than an ounce of lead.

HERE'S ANOTHER RECORD BREAKING FLIGHT FROM 8/13/2008

This 54mb video shows the DIVA as it takes the European record, (since beaten). The DIVA gets up to 274mph with Hannes Niethammer at the controls in moderate winds at an unknown German location.  Right mouse click on here and choose Save Target As.
