After chasing wind forecasts that turned out to be wrong and numerous walks up and down hills carrying an armfull of planes, I finally DS'ed my MCT for the first time on Friday 16-July-2010. Thanks to Graham Bridge for radaring my first flight. 194mph was the best I could manage. A shame to miss out on joining the +200 club but it's going to happen sooner or later. This thing practically flies itself. Rotors and turbulence - it barely even flinches.

Below is my computer generated design template for my MCT decals. Each bit of graphics was cut out by hand and stuck on individually, so it took me ages.

Explanation of the art itself is below.

New Zealand Maori inspired art. The graphics are from a 'Manaia' which is a creature with bird´s head, human body and fish tail, and it represents a guardian angel. In my example, the tail of the Manaia is not included - I don't intend my MCT to go into the sea, so I hope I don't need protection from that element ;). When the hand is drawn with three fingers, they indicate the balance between sky, earth and sea. It´s a symbol of protection. The gecko is a magical creature, which is said to keep deseases away from the house in which they live. The shark´s teeth motif stands for strength.
