The ever changing and always improving Thundertakers next evolutionary step resulted with the creation of the T-Tailed Thundertaker. The whole thing started when Jason Lilly read a thread that Dr. Drela posted about a program he wrote. The program calculated DS speed with a best guess flight path. Jason noticed that the speed jump while maintaining the perfect circle was nothing less then amazing!

I started thinking..... “well”.. “I guess I need to focus in on a model that would be super easy to fly in that perfect circle”. The extra long TTT fuse with a 500 foot diameter center line was born. The results, a completely redesigned fuselage with a monster 7980 Hitec servo driving the horizontal stabilizer. The servo is mounted in the fin with a standard pushrod. I'm real happy with the results. The horn on the surface is almost entirely enclosed by the sides of the fin.  Jason Lilly
